Dr. Friedlander’s Ultra Blend is ultra active. It contains human isolate friendly bifidobacterium longum bacteria. It is not cultured through yoghurt, soy or other bacteria. Ultra Blend is enhanced by the presence of bacillus subtilis which ingests harmful bacteria in the colon. Both bifidobacterium longum and bacillus subtilis stimulate natural enzyme production and activity to improve assimilation of nutrients, maintain a healthy immune function and reduce inflammation in the colon. The hasA gene which encodes the enzyme hyaluronan synthase, has been expressed in bacillus subtilis, resulting in the production of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid supports skin and joints. It is abundant in the extracellular matrix, soft connective tissue, and synovial fluids of articular joints, eyes, skin moisture and elasticity. Bacillus subtilis suppresses the growth of harmful pathogens and enhances the growth of lactobacillus acidophilus. It improves the symptoms of IBS.
